Team Bryant Highlights: November 14-18

Reading: Readers will continue to write about nonfiction texts. We will pay close attention to how authors portray their information. Are they sharing the information in a positive light or a negative light, and why?

Writing: Writers will craft new introductions to capture our readers’ attention! We will also work on strong conclusions that bring closure to our pieces for our readers.

Math: Mathematicians will review adding and subtracting decimals to prepare for their Chapter 5 Test that they will take on Wednesday, November 16th. We will begin Chapter 6: Multiplying and Dividing Decimals at the end of the week.

Science: Scientists will study the differences between vertebrates and invertebrates. We will create our own Dichotomous Keys and a Taxonomy foldable to help us remember Kingdom, Phylum, Class, Order, Family, Genus, and Species. Students will need to know this for their test!

Social Studies: Historians will learn about the conquests of the Americas.
