This week's game plan:
Reading: Readers
will continue reading their fantasy book club books and studying elements of
fantasy texts. We will think about real world elements that can be applied to
fantasy texts. We will also study archetypes we typically encounter in fantasy
stories.
Writing: Writers did
a great job with their second literary essays. I hope you take the opportunity
to listen to their piece on Seesaw. This week students will decide on a new
topic for their literary essay. We will take everything we have learned in this
unit, and apply it to our final piece.
Math: Mathematicians
will take their Chapter 9 Test on adding and subtracting fractions this
Tuesday. Students should use previous assignments, their review in the textbook,
and Quizlets on Google Classroom to study. Thursday, we will begin Chapter 10
on multiplying and dividing decimals.
Science: Scientists
will take a break from science lessons this week. We will go over our Space
Test and take the monthly Galileo Test.
Social Studies: Historians will complete and share their
advertisements for the 13 colonies.
