Marshmallow Tower Challenge

Student teams were given equal amounts of toothpicks and marshmallows with the challenge of building the highest tower they could in 30 minutes. Our winner was an 8 inch marshmallow tower! 

Block Out Poems

Team Bryant chose a page from a text and used words or phrases to create their own poem. Amazing creativity in these pieces. 

Bottle Flipping Investigation

Team Bryant conducted a bottle flipping investigation this week. They broke into groups based on their testable question. Some of the different testable questions were:

-Does the way in which the bottle is flipped affect the bottle's landing?

-Does the type (shape) of the bottle affect the bottle's landing?

-Does the amount of liquid affect the bottle's landing?

Building Marble Roller Coasters

5th Graders got in groups to create marble roller coasters out of paper plates and construction paper. We had some amazing creations!

Concord Fun Day

Thankfully the weather held out and we had a really FUN DAY!
